How to Prepare Yourself For a Fitness Boot Camp Break

Most people who fail at fitness boot camp do so because of one reason they fail to prepare themselves adequately for the experience. What they dont realize is that this is not just another fitness camp it is high impact training that is designed to help you lose weight and get fit in a very short space of time. If you want to be successful in fitness boot camp then there are certain things that you should do before you set off:

Eat right to provide your body with energy. If you are on a diet you will not make it through fitness boot camp. You will be burning an extraordinary amount of calories and for you to do that successfully you have to eat the right foods about 3 weeks before the camp starts. Focus on eating lots of lean protein such as beef, chicken and food, eat a lot of healthy (unprocessed) carbohydrates as well as lots of fruits and vegetables. You should hydrate properly drink at least 2 liters of water a day. For snacks, eat fruits and nuts instead of processed energy bars.

Get the right gear if you dont, you may quit halfway. As we said, you will be doing high impact workouts and it is important that you be dressed right. The most important thing is shoes you dont want to get blisters so make sure to invest in 2 or 3 pairs of good workout shoes.

You should meet your instructor before you register for the fitness boot camp. This is the guy who will be barking orders at you. He will force you to keep going when you feel you cannot do it any more. If you dont like him then you may quite halfway because you are fed up. Find out what kind of person he is does he motivate or does he bully in order to get people to keep going?

If you have any preexisting medical conditions it is very important that you talk to your doctor about attending fitness boot camp. Also, if you have any previous injuries you must make sure that they are completely healed before you go for this high intensity training or else they could bring problems.

Take before photos on the day before you take off for boot camp so that as you work out, you can take after photos to see how much progress you are making. It will encourage you to work harder when you see that you are actually losing weight.

To get your body ready for fitness boot camp you must start working out at least 3 weeks in advance. This allows your body to adjust to workouts. Start out with simple ones then as you get more fit start doing harder ones. You will find that by the time you get to fitness boot cam you are having a much easier time.
